Its spring time which means that if your in your 20s or 30s there will inevitably be at least one wedding you are invited to. Well, we should all be so lucky as to get invited to a wedding as cool as this one featured on Offbeat Bride.
Stephanie & Chase’s Gamer, Nerdabilly, Geek Chic Wedding
While we’ve all seen geeky themed weddings before, what I like most about this one is that they still managed to make it look chic and classy all on a minimal budget! First of all, note the awesome 8bit ties worn by all the men as well as the obligatory light sabers
Instead of a traditional cake, they used cupcakes to make Zelda, Link and a life heart…8bit style of course!
My favorite part has to be the adorable Super Mario table decorations!
Classy and geeky all at once! Im sure even those unfamiliar with Mario found these table decorations to be adorable.
To read more about this epic wedding including the orchestrated Zelda music for the processional, read the bride’s writeup here!
ps- thanks to my friend Julie for pointing me in the direction of this awesome wedding!

I was trolling around on ShanaLogic earlier today and came across the most amazing home decor ever.
Plush-kill Wall series
These handmade wall decorations are the perfect mix of adorable plushiness and redneck kitsch.
About this piece: The unicorn is extremely hard to hunt and kill (maybe it’s her rare powers that makes her such a challenge!). She can be attracted to malt liquor and magicians so if you can get both together at once, you’re sure to attract one!
Size: 12″ x 8″ wide wooden backing
Materials: Fleece, wood, felt, polyfil stuffing, trim, LOVE
Other animals include Spring Deer, Berrycorn, Bunny, Mouse and Ewe and cost about $80 each.
I was browsing one of my favorite sites today, Perpetual Kid and came across an amazing kit to help you make your own recycled bottle lamp!
Cute huh? And its all awesomely eco friendly…so bonus points for this one!
All you need to do is save 6 of your favorite soda or beer bottles and thoroughly wash them out and youve got yourself a spiffy new lamp. Now Im wishing I hadnt thrown away my bottle collection a few weeks ago! Oh well time to start drinking and accumulating more!
The kit retails at $39.99 and includes everything you need…except for the drinks ;)
first of all, i love Orla Kiely. she’s classic, bold, and girlie! all of these products will be hitting the shelves of Target the first week of February!
secondly, i love Target! everytime i near that bullseye logo, my heart races, and i get butterflies in my stomach. like a kinda obsessive crush in middle school, i love me some Target. living in downtown SF, where Corporate America has been banned by this liberal city, i have no way to calm my addiction. the online store doesn’t give you the same satisfaction of walking into that huge red warehouse. my favorite are the Super Targets, where you can get everything you need and more! originally from Minnesota, where Target originated, i have been a dedicated fan all my life.
I think Im just going to have to declare today to be Katie Day because shes giving me tons of great fodder for blogging. First her delicious breakfast casserole and now….toilet sharks.
These are decals that can be stuck on your toilet or window…a much nicer way to jazz up your potty if you arent down for granny style plush seat covers. Etsy seller post has a whole shop of fun funky toilet decals that you can purchase for about $15 including shipping. Heres a few of my favs…
Id be pissed to if I was getting shit and pissed on every day.
To create a classy shitter….this toilet needs a beaded toilet rug.
Im always a fan of bringing organic themes indoor.
Unicorn on a toilet….’nuff said.

Tis the season for Holiday parties…well just parties in general. So you wakeup the next morning with a pounding headache and pocketful of little cocktail umbrellas and what do you do? Wait not the trash! Pop a few Advil and try constructing a Cocktail Umbrella Lamp!
Some glue and a little bit of patience is basically what it takes to make this pretty little lamp. Plus, when you shamefully walk into the office the next morning you can claim that all your over-the-top boozing was for a craft project.
