Its spring time which means that if your in your 20s or 30s there will inevitably be at least one wedding you are invited to. Well, we should all be so lucky as to get invited to a wedding as cool as this one featured on Offbeat Bride.
Stephanie & Chase’s Gamer, Nerdabilly, Geek Chic Wedding
While we’ve all seen geeky themed weddings before, what I like most about this one is that they still managed to make it look chic and classy all on a minimal budget! First of all, note the awesome 8bit ties worn by all the men as well as the obligatory light sabers
Instead of a traditional cake, they used cupcakes to make Zelda, Link and a life heart…8bit style of course!
My favorite part has to be the adorable Super Mario table decorations!
Classy and geeky all at once! Im sure even those unfamiliar with Mario found these table decorations to be adorable.

ps- thanks to my friend Julie for pointing me in the direction of this awesome wedding!

in case any of you do not already know this, i love pacman. i wish i owned my own arcade machine of ms. pacman. what i love even more is when couture ads incorporate pacman or other beloved nerd things:
clothing courtesy by designer LANVIN.
besides loving me some old school arcade, i also am obsessed with legos. i love building them! i actually have a star wars lego kit at home patiently waiting for my crafty fingers to build it!

ads that incorporate nerd references + expensive couture clothing = super nerd awesomeness! i mean come on, with a hot model blasting a lego gun, who wouldn’t buy her red ruffly dress?

Previous I wrote about how my friend Steph made the most amazing Battlestar Galactica beanie based off of Starbucks mandala aka the Eye of Jupiter. Well I just came across yet another crafty BSG fan who has made the most amazing and adorable cylon hat youve ever seen.
The Happiest Cylon Beanie
A knitted by a crafty little geekster by the name of Wonderfallz, this pattern is so frakin awesome (although I’ll have to make sure I done wear it riding my bike. To make your own Cylon beanie download the pattern for free here.
Happy knitting all you fraking toasters!

Ok ok I know LOLcats are sooooooo last season but you still cant help but love this amazing DIY project. Forwarded to me by my good friend Stephanie is this amazing craft project from Alexa Westerfield a.k.a. Swelldesigner.
All the supplies you need to make this lunch box type purse can be purchased at just about any craft store and if you dont have a photo quality printer you can go to Walgreens or Kinkos and get a photo quality print for pretty cheap. Follow these step by step instructions and in a matter of hours you can rock out with your geek out!
Also if you feel the LOLcat trend is soooo last week you can shove any other image you like on there, think about it…a level from your favorite game, your favorite movie or maybe just you and your friends. Here are some Im considering…
Obama + Aretha Hat = FIEEEEEEEEEEERCE
What better way to highlight my epic crush on Edward James Olmos aka Commander Adama than with a sparkly purse
Master Chief in a thong…just because it would be funny and good conversation starter
This is the front runner just because it combines two of my favorite things…Tecate and boobies.
Anyone have any ideas for what they would put on their purse?

Today at work we started up a weekly knitting circle for a bunch of us to sit down and chat while working on our projects. Right now Im embarrassed to say Im knitting a scarf for my cat (it was going to be a headband for me but I decided I like torturing my cat more). My friend Stephanie mentioned a project she saw on Craftlovers that was a DIY knitted cat hoodie so I just had to see it for myself.
So adorable and so hilarious. Im filing this under my list of projects that I can make in order to torture my cat with.

As it has been well established in this blog I love bacon. Now I can live out my dreams of being the Queen of Bacon complete with my own Bacon Tiara!
Im not sure if this would actually be a good idea for me to wear this…I’d probably eat it before I got to wherever I was going.
For instructions on how to make your own check out the detailed instructions. It actually seems a bit more work than I would’ve thought (it involves a food processor for making ‘meat glue’?!) but I might have to make my own one of these days. Hell I could make it for my wedding to match my future husbands bacon tuxedo.
