We’ve moved! Visit us at our new home at www.domesticgeeks.com

Domestic Geek is for the modern man or woman who loves their gadgets, their games and culture…but also love to bake eclairs, make their own screen printed pillow cases, mod their apartment and other “domestic” activities.

In recent years the word “domestic” itself has become viewed as a dated and almost negative word, especially to women. The term “domesticate” seemed to be synonymous with being submissive and not progressive. We firmly believe that domestic is not a bad thing at all, there’s nothing wrong with being crafty and a cooking queen or king. Thankfully there seems to be a rise in acceptability of domestic activities among 20 and 30 year olds. We know many who work coding web pages or playing video games by day, but at night they knit their own messenger bags or make fresh hummus. This blog is for them, the geeks who love to geek out at home with a new kitchen gadget or a fun DIY gardening project. In this blog youll find recipes for food and drinks, craft ideas, DIY tips and links to all sorts of wonderful domestic tech. If you find anything interesting or have a recipe to share please feel free to send it out way!
